Traffic is People Logo Concept
The Traffic is People logo is built on a simple belief:
Traffic is not just numbers. Traffic is people.

"Moving forward, you have to understand that traffic is people, and people are extremely predictable." - Russell Brunson, Traffic Secrets
This idea was inspired by the book Traffic Secrets, where the author emphasizes that traffic is ultimately made up of people, and that people are remarkably predictable in their behaviors, interests, and desires.

"The power in Google data is that people tell the giant search engine things they might not tell anyone else." - Seth Stephens-Davidowitz, Everybody Lies
Another source of inspiration comes from the book Everybody Lies, which argues that the internet is one of the few places where people reveal their true thoughts, interests, and intentions. Through search queries, website visits, and online behavior, people often express what they may never openly admit in the real world.
With this perspective, Traffic is People explores a simple question:
What can we learn about people by analyzing where they spend their attention online?
The logo visualizes this concept.
Inside the head are bubble charts representing the most visited website categories across different countries and regions. These categories are derived from web traffic data and symbolize the collective interests, priorities, and behaviors of people in each digital society.
The bubbles represent more than websites. They represent:
- Human curiosity
- Consumer behavior
- Cultural interests
- Economic activity
- Emerging opportunities
Together, they form a visual map of what people are thinking about and paying attention to.
Overlaying this data is the sketch-like profile of a person inspired by the AI (
🤖 Ai)-generated illustration style that became popular during the rise of ChatGPT and generative AI (🤖 Ai).
This layer represents the AI(
🤖 Ai) era.
It symbolizes the idea that AI (
🤖 Ai) can help us interpret massive amounts of digital behavior, transforming raw traffic data into meaningful insights about people, markets, and societies.
The combination of human thought, traffic data, and AI (
🤖 Ai)represents the core philosophy of Traffic is People:
By understanding traffic, we understand people.
And by understanding people(
🌍 Worldwide), we can better understand trends(📊 Leaderboard), opportunities(🗺️ Heatmap), businesses, and the future itself.AI(🤖 Ai) era, Solopreneur (🧑💻 Solopreneur) rises

“One person billion dollar company(🧑💻 Solopreneur), which would’ve been unimaginable without AI(🤖 Ai) and now it will happen.” - OpenAi Ceo Sam Altman and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. 11th J.P. Morgan Tech Leaders Conference - Oct. 24-25 2023
Recent advances in AI (
🤖 Ai) are changing the economics of entrepreneurship.Tasks that once required teams of designers, developers, marketers, and analysts can now be handled by a single individual working alongside AI (
🤖 Ai) tools. This shift has led to the rise of a new type of entrepreneur: the AI (
🤖 Ai)-powered solopreneur (🧑💻 Solopreneur). At the 11th J.P. Morgan Tech Leaders Conference, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian discussed a future where a one-person billion-dollar company may become possible through AI (
🤖 Ai)."One person billion dollar company... would have been unimaginable without AI (🤖 Ai), and now it will happen."
Whether or not such companies emerge soon, the underlying trend is already visible: AI (
🤖 Ai) is dramatically increasing the leverage of individuals. The question is no longer whether AI (
🤖 Ai) will change how businesses are built. The question is: Which countries are producing the people most likely to take advantage of this shift?
This is where web traffic becomes interesting.
If traffic reflects attention, and attention reflects intent, then the websites people visit today may reveal where tomorrow's AI (
🤖 Ai) solopreneurs (🧑💻 Solopreneur) will emerge.Sam Altman and Similarweb

“Today, we've made significant progress. ChatGpt is used by more than 500 million people a week. I just saw yesterday that it according to Similarweb, it's now the fifth biggest website on the internet globally(🌍 Worldwide)” - OpenAI CEO Sam Altman testifies on AI(🤖 Ai) competition before Senate committee — May 8 2025
The significance of Similarweb is not that it measures websites.
Its significance is that it measures attention.
And attention is where human desire becomes visible.
This is why I chose Similarweb as the primary dataset for Traffic is People.
Interestingly, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also cited Similarweb while discussing ChatGPT's growth and adoption.
While this project was not inspired by that reference, it highlights a broader point:
When we want to understand what people are doing at internet scale, web traffic remains one of the most valuable signals available.
Similarweb does not measure websites. It measures where human attention goes. And where attention goes, the future often follows.
Traffic Analysis Websites List
Name | Founded | No. of Website on Top Ranking | No. of Countries | No. of Category |
Similarweb | 2007 | 60 | ||
Semrush | 2008 | 38 | 25 | |
Ahrefs | 2011 | 184 | 25 |
*In September 2025, effective from the August 2025 Top 50 Website Ranking dataset, Similarweb initiated a new categorization that separates AI(🤖 Ai)-related websites from those previously classified under 'Computer and Electronics(💻 Computer and Electronics)'.
Why Similarweb?
For years, I have used web traffic analytics platforms to better understand different countries, their cultures, and the interests of their people.
Services such as Similarweb, Semrush, and Ahrefs provide valuable insights into the digital landscape. However, while exploring these datasets, I noticed something unique about Similarweb.
Unlike most analytics platforms, Similarweb organizes websites into categories that often reflect human interests, motivations, and behaviors. More importantly, these categories evolve alongside changes in technology and society. For example, in 2025, Similarweb introduced a dedicated AI category, separating AI-related websites from the broader "Computer & Electronics" category. This change itself reflects a shift in human attention.
That observation led me to a simple question:
Can we understand a country by understanding where its people spend their attention online?
Two ideas strongly influenced my thinking.
In Everybody Lies, Seth Stephens-Davidowitz argues that people are often more honest on the internet than they are in surveys or real life. Search queries and online behavior reveal thoughts, desires, fears, and interests that people may never openly express.
In Traffic Secrets, Russell Brunson presents a simple but powerful idea:
"Traffic is people."
Behind every page view, search query, and website visit is a real person making a choice about where to spend their attention.
Combining these two ideas led me to a new perspective.
If traffic is people, and people are often most honest through their online behavior, then perhaps web traffic data can help us understand the collective interests, desires, and priorities of a nation.
This is the foundation of the Traffic is People project.
Rather than viewing website rankings as simple statistics, I see them as signals of human attention. And by analyzing the categories of the most visited websites in each country, we may gain a deeper understanding of what people value, what they seek, and where society may be heading next.

Desire Reward Index (DRI)
The Desire-Reward Index (DRI) is designed to measure the collective behavioral orientation of a country by analyzing website traffic categories. The framework groups web traffic into three psychological dimensions and assigns a weighted score to each category.
🟦 Achievement & Growth (A) : +2.0
🟩 Maintenance & Info (B) : +1.0
🟥 Instinct & Escapism (C) : -1.5
Interpretation
A higher DRI score suggests that a country's online attention is more heavily concentrated on growth, learning, business, and future-oriented activities.
A lower DRI score suggests that a larger share of attention is allocated toward entertainment, leisure, or immediate reward-seeking behavior.

- AI (
🤖 Ai) integrated into work and daily life
Low AA Score
- Slower technology adoption
- Lower AI (
🤖 Ai) penetration
- Limited use of AI (
🤖 Ai)-powered productivity tools
Framework Philosophy
Traffic is not merely web traffic.
Traffic represents attention.
Attention reflects desire.
Desire shapes behavior.
Behavior influences the future.
By analyzing digital attention patterns, we can better understand how people think, what they value, and where societies may be heading next.
Why Traffic Matters
For years, I have used web traffic data to better understand countries, cultures, and the interests of their people.
One idea(
💭 notion) changed how I looked at this data:"Traffic is people." — Traffic Secrets
Behind every website visit is a real person making a decision about where to spend their attention.
Another idea came from Everybody Lies, which argues that people are often more honest on the internet than they are in surveys or everyday conversations. Online behavior reveals what people are truly curious about, concerned about, or interested in.
This is why I chose Similarweb as one of the primary data sources for the Traffic is People project.
When looking at the world's most visited websites, the largest category is not entertainment or shopping—it is Computer & Electronics(
💻 Computer and Electronics), which is largely made up of digital platforms that help people connect, communicate, learn, and participate in the global economy. The second-largest category is News(
📰 News). To me, this suggests something important:
People do not only seek connection. They also seek understanding.
People want to know what is happening in the world, what is changing, and where new opportunities may emerge.
This is also why I believe resources such as Google News Initiative are valuable for modern solopreneurs(
🧑💻 Solopreneur). Learning how to find information, verify facts, analyze trends, and communicate insights is no longer just a skill for journalists—it is becoming a core business skill. In the AI era, successful solopreneurs(
🧑💻 Solopreneur) are not only builders. They are also researchers, analysts, storytellers, and publishers.Topics such as AI(
🤖 Ai), Climate(🌦️ Climate), Politics(🗣️ Politics), Technology, and Business are not simply news categories. They are signals of future change. Understanding these signals can help individuals and businesses make better decisions. My goal with Traffic is People is not to analyze websites.
It is to understand human attention.
Because attention reveals interests, interests influence decisions, and decisions shape the future.
Traffic reveals attention. Attention reveals people. And people shape the future.
